When my spouse and I decided to adopt a Malinois , I never asked myself the question of whether, as a woman , I was going to be adept at handling such a powerful dog.
My concerns revolved more around the space needed to accommodate him, the time we would have to devote to his development, and the well-being of our first two hairless companions, Mew and Batman.

The iconic " he will only listen to sir " as well as the timeless speeches on the canine hierarchy marked my daily life during the first year of Draco's life, as did the looks and attitudes that varied depending on who was holding the leash .

Only determination And work provides in the education of my dog should define my ability to handle it. But for some reason, many people think that only the presence of a man can guarantee obedience and control of a Malinois...

Allow me to point out that with the number of two-legged dogs being cropped year-round, it seems obvious that a woman is fully capable to manage her "big dog" on her own.

So, if I am read, I would like to remind everyone that courage and leadership are not exclusively male . Women have as many capacities to educate and to handle powerful dogs than men .
